- This is a multi-part question. Please create a visual post for your blog on a topic specific to your business and answer the questions below. This involves critical thinking. What is important to your business and visitors? The image must be the focal point of the post telling the story or conveying a point. You may include multiple images. The goal is to visually convey a message with minimal text. Please pay attention to what was discussed in class. Ensure that you include a link to the blog post in your answer. Do not forget that this needs to be included in your hardcopy. I am marking what you hand in with your hardcopy but also need to see the digital version on your blog. If it is not online for me to view (in addition to the hardcopy), I cannot mark this question. (4 Marks)

- Why did you choose the specific image(s)? (3 Marks)
I chose this specific image because it can evoke emotions in viewers, tell a story, and is easy to understand.
This image is something people would come across and see and they could have an emotional connection or feeling towards it. The woman in the picture is feeling all positive emotions like happiness, excitement, surprise, etc. because we can see she is receiving flowers. This type of emotion that is shown within the picture can evoke a certain feeling of emotions in the viewers as well which is what I want. Viewers could be feeling happy when they see this because they might be able to relate to this feeling of excitement when they have received flowers from someone, or this could make someone feel a sense of awe, or maybe sadness because they have never had the chance to experience this feeling but someday hope to. This image could evoke either side of happy or sad emotions, but it will trigger a memory into their brain when these certain emotions are happening once they view this visual content. The viewer should have the memory in their mind that gifting someone flowers for no reason is such an easy way to put a smile on their face, and that can be shown through the visual.
This picture can tell a story which is important because even though there isn’t a long description of words to tell viewers what is going on, people are going to be able to see this visual and get the idea of what is happening without having to read anything. Someone can look at this and tell the story in their head which the story can be looked at differently by everyone but for the main point of the image people are going to be able to tell that the woman is very happy to be receiving flowers from a guy who is most likely her boyfriend. I wanted to choose an image that was going to be able to tell a story because that is another way that is going to make it easier for viewers to remember my post and what my business is all about.
Along with this image being able to tell a story faster than words could the image is simple to understand. When people see this, it's not going to take them a while to figure out what is going on and why it aligns so well for my business. The pictures are always easier to understand and remember over the words. I added minimal text to this image so people could remember the most important part of the post which is that ordering someone flowers is going to make someone smile, just like the image does. By seeing this visual they can quickly understand what they should be doing and hopefully choose to take action and head to my website to purchase the “Just Because Bouquet” and give it to someone important in their lives to make them smile.
b. Explain in detail why the image(s) was beneficial for the post. (3 Marks)
The whole idea of the post is to promote the feeling of happiness that people get when they receive flowers from someone, but also more specifically promoting the “Just Because Bouquet” we offer on our website which is clear from the caption that goes along with the visual. The image is beneficial for the post because it gives a visual impact on the emotions that people can draw from it. When someone sees this post, they are going to understand what is going on and they should be able to take an emotional feeling away from it after viewing it. I want people to feel happiness and think the post is cute and evokes a feeling of how to uplift someone with just a simple act of kindness. These emotions will help match up and create a visual memory so people can remember what someone would look like and feel if they received the gift of flowers. For example, when someone is happy or even just thinking about happiness there are usually memories that match up with that feeling. That’s why this image fits well with the post because it shows the woman feeling happy and excited. This can trigger the same feeling through the viewer when they realize that the image matches with the post I have created, talking about how easy it can be to make someone smile and make their day a little better by giving them flowers without a specific reason. The visual perfectly captures what many women or anyone typically feels like when they receive flowers. I find that super beneficial for my post because I want viewers to feel this emotional connection and feeling themselves when they think about a time they got flowers or just think about how they would feel the same amount of happiness if they were to get some just on a random day because that’s how much someone truly cared about them. This post is a positive way for people to create a memory that can turn into a reminder in their brain, that a simple gesture like giving flowers to someone is going to be a great way to make them smile and brighten their day.
